Umalas

Slowly developing, Umalas has slowly emerged as one of the main destination for luxurious villas builder. The presence of lots of empty lands and rice fields makes it easier to present you a better Balinese view from inside the villas. The area is very quiet almost every time even more quite than Petitenget. The short driving time makes it interesting for people who like to enjoy their own serenity instead of partying in Seminyak or Legian although you can always drive 5 to 10 minutes long to reach both of the areas to have a dine or just enjoying sunset.

The area is pretty much still has that traditional Balinese atmosphere. You could found a lot of offerings lying around on the roadside and the smell of incense is still very much familiar here. A perfect area to just have an afternoon tea or biking around the area due to its’ calmness. Accesses are pretty easy. You can reach the area from Kerobokan, Seminyak, and Petitenget or even from Canggu. Surrounded by highly evolved areas of tourism, Umalas manages to keep their originality intact.

Most people in the area are farmers which either grows rice plant or just other agricultural goods like cassava, vegetables or even onions. You will also found a lot of people in the area handles their cattle. The area is beautiful. Sunrise for almost along the day, but not too hot during the night makes it just perfect for any activities. The road is fairly smaller than other roads you might found, but it is just enough and makes it more traditional.
